See the whales

There’s been plenty of whale action in the waters off Noosa and you can join in with whale watching tours into Laguna Bay and around the Noosa National Park headland. The New Noosa Wave also has swim with the whales experiences – ph 0458 997 188. Noosa Thriller (ph 0412 735 624) and Noosa Ocean Rider (ph 0438 386 255) also take you whale watching on their ocean thrill tours and offer a free courtesy bus for Noosa area pick-ups.

Joy of the Journey

This new exhibition at Cooroy Butter Factory Arts Centre, 11A Maple St, showcases the culture of 5 artists from the neighbouring Bundaberg region. On show until 3 Sept

See Noosa by bike

Stand up Paddle

Explore Noosa’s beautiful waterways on a stand-up paddle board – lessons and hire boards are available for the Noosa River or Laguna Bay. It’s easy to learn how! Ask at the Noosa Visitor Information Centre or phone 13000 NOOSA

Rattler fun

Take a Noosa Country Drive through the Noosa hinterland and Mary Valley to the historic Mary Valley Rattler steam train station in Gympie. Travel on a beautifully restored heritage train through the Mary Valley and its towns. The C17 steam train takes you between the historic Gympie Station with its cafe and museum, to Amamoor in the Mary Valley – return journey every Wed, Sat and Sun.
