The festive season is almost upon us and Noosa offers a huge selection of ways to enjoy this time of year.
Celebrate Christmas on the Sunshine Coast with some of the following ideas:
Hit the Beaches
Just 10 minutes drive from Eumarella Shores, the beaches of Noosa main beach, Sunrise Beach and Sunshine Beach all offer a chance for everyone to find the perfect spot and settle in for the day.
Why not pack a picnic, take a book and relax under a beach umbrella because days like these are meant to be enjoyed. The lovely beach at Peregian – and some great local shopping – is also only 15 minutes drive away.
Explore Lake Weyba
With Lake Weyba at your doorstep, there is an abundance of lake-related activities available all-year-round.
The best way to experience Lake Weyba is by getting out on the water – discover the natural beauty of Lake Weyba with the supplied canoe, or hire a paddleboard and head up nearby Eenie Creek or further, through to the Noosa River, fish from the jetty or canoe in the nearby creeks. Explore the shoreline on foot to, as bird and plant life are plentiful with several mobs of kangaroos making the area home.
The lake is popular with kite surfers, who can be found most afternoons, down on the foreshore, enjoying the late afternoon breezes.
Hastings Street ( 10 minutes drive) offers a range of fun, summery, and eclectic stores, and when you venture out of Noosa there are even more exciting shopping spots.
Take in the Sights
A Christmas holiday would not be complete without some Santa time. This year Santa will be making a special appearance at the Ginger Factory – around 20 minutes drive from Eumarella Shores. Between the 4th of December until the 22nd of December you can see Santa every Wednesday to Sunday between 9.30am until 1.30pm.
